The Press Release is incorrect: this will not be a "Premiere" in
California.

"Nixon in China" was performed by the Los Angeles Opera during the 1990-01
season and remains one of the LAO highlights: "1990-91: A co-production
of John Adams' Nixon in China under the direction of Peter Sellars.  The
production was later nationally broadcast, winning an Emmy Award." See

This Press Release was posted Sunday to the Opera List ([log in to unmask])
and generated several replies correcting the record.  While we hope that
they correct the error, we wish them good luck on their production!
