Jeff Grossman asks for a recommendation of a Beethoven symphony set.

My opinion:  Either you buy at least five or you give up the idea of
an integral set and buy individual performances.  I don't believe anyone
does all the symphonies very well, not even Furtwaengler, and some of the
"bests" haven't recorded all the symphonies.
