There's a CD of Galuppi's motets on Virgin by Seminario Musicale, small=
french formation conducted by Gerard Lesne, contertenor. The recording is
quite good, and had very good review in 1994. The booklet has tree pages
on Galuppi and his motets, born in Burano island near Venice (where they
make glass) travels to London in his thirties, well known by Haydn anc CPE
Bach. Description by Charles Burney, but no mention= of string sonatas
'countless vocal composition both sacred an secular where not published,
and today his manuscripts are scattered all over the world. This recording
pays homage to a great and prolific composer who made one of the most
significant contributions to the music of the eighteenth century in Venice=
and in Italy in a whole'. 'One of the few remaining original geniuses of
the= best school perharps that Italy ever saw'. Hope it could help
