Brahms Symphonies by Sawallish

I bought his set of the Brahms symphonies (Philips Duo) cheaply in a
second hand store.  I think it's Ok after a brief listening, but I found
afterwards that it got a fair trashing in the Penguin guide.  Has anyone om
the list heard it? How does it stand up to other Brahms interpretations?
