The Irrepressible Hoffnung

This would have been the 75th Birthday year for Gerard Hoffnung. This is
being marked by an exhibition of his cartoons at

Furthermore Annetta Hoffnung has undertaken a private reprinting of the six
original little books. These will be on sale from the Hoffnung website as
soon as credit card facilities have been set up.

PS. Music on the Web (which includes the Hoffnung site) has just relocated
to a commercial server as part of Vavo.com. The URL remains as before
http://www.musiweb.uk.net.  There are still teething troubles because of
the size of the site and not all pages have been reformatted yet, but I
would be please to hear of any problems in reaching or viewing the site.
Please give full details of your browser. I believe everything is fine
with Explorer and Opera but Netscape can produce odd results.
