If this is the Gurzenich of Gunter Wand, then it's not just your ordinary
provincial orchestra.  James Conlon has done quite a number of recordings
for EMI, among others.  As for Soile Isokowski, I wonder why the recording
companies have bypassed her.  She has recorded a nice cd of Richard Strauss
lieder.  Label's name I don't remember.  My guess is she's nearer Ewa
Poodles' generation than Christine Schafer's.
