I find the Talich to do excellent work from Beethoven to more recent
composers.  I do not care for their classical era recordings; they play
Mozart, for example, as if he's a romantic era composer.  Watch out for
the Prazak String Quartet on Praga - they do the same thing.  If you want
your classical era composers to sound like romantics, these two groups will
well satisfy.
