Saturday 06:00 - De Concertzender has three string quartets by the Irish
composer Ian Wilson -- The Capsizing Man and other stories (#2); Winter's
Edge (#1); and Towards the Far Country (#3) -- followed by "Sonatina
canonica sopra Capricci di Nicolo Paganini" by Luigi Dalapiccola.

Saturday 13:30 - this is the "Opera slot" on Saturdays. This week La
Chaine has Wagner's "Der fliegende Hollander"; CBC Radio 3 has Stravinsky's
"The Rake's Progress"; NPR World of Opera (WBAA usually has the best
quality webcast) has Carlisle Floyd's "Cold Sassy Tree" (a world premiere
production); BBC Radio 3 has Leos Janacek's "Katya Kabanova"; and, a half
hour later, Antena2 has Rossini's "Guilherme Tell". At 13:00 on Sunday,
De Concertzender has Gounod's "La Reine de Saba" as well as fragments
from "Philemon et Baucis". On Monday at 14:30 BBC Radio 3 has "A concert
performance of the original 1972 Italian version of Gluck's opera about the
rescue of Eurydice from Hades by her husband, Orpheus, told using only
three characters and a chorus of shepherds and furies". At 17:30 on Monday
Antena2 has Henry Purcell's "Dido and Aeneas". At 05:05 on Tuesday BBC
Radio 3 has excerpts from Emanuel Chabrier's "L'etoile".

Sunday 15:40 - BBC Radio 3 has a concert of Lili Boulanger's music with
Lynne Dawson (soprano), Ann Murray (mezzo), Bonaventura Bottone (tenor),
Jason Howard (bass), City of Birmingham Symphony Chorus, BBC
Philharmonic/Yan Pascal Tortelier.

Sunday 17:00 - BBC Radio 3 has Finnish composer Rautavaara's `Vigilia' - a
1971 setting of the Orthodox liturgy of Matins and Vespers.

Sunday 22:05 - CBC Radio 2 has "Gyorgy Ligeti's outrageous Mysteries of the
Macabre, with soprano soloist Barbara Hannigan".

Monday 07:00 - Antena2 has Schnittke's Concerto for Cello and Orchestra.

Tuesday 04:00 - De Concertzender has Luciano Berio's "Points on the curve
to find", "Folk Songs", "Sequenza VII" and "Laborintus II".

Tuesday 13:30 - La Chaine has Bedrich Smetana's complete "Ma Vlast" played
by the Prague Symphony Orchestra.
