I was speaking from memory, so I'll gladly defer to Don on this one.  A
relisten to selected identical movements from both sets makes me agree
that indeed, the balances and "bigness" of sound are quite different from
one another, aside from from tempi and such.  However, my similarity of
impression still stands in the area of exuberance; both ensembles seem to
have a good time with this music, and enjoy giving a "full" sound to the
extent that they can.
