How about Peter Schickele in his PDQ Bach disguise?  I remember the
windbreaker (a series of mailing tubes arranged like pan pipes), the
balloons attached to pitch pipes, the Hardart (in the Concerto for Horn
and Hardart), the bicycle siren, the bagpipes, the double reeds (no
oboes, English horns, or bassoons -- just the reeds).  There must be
many others his body of work.
