Len Fehskens, commenting on Stirling Newberrys elaborate restructuring:

Which is why I believe that one should program works together which appeal
largely to the same taste. Looking back over history, this changes, and
so programming choices should change. However I also feel that all of the
groups who participate in the world of classical music need to have care
and attention given to their works. If works do not have enduring appeal,
then they will be forgotten - perhaps later to be revived when the wheel of
taste turns again.
