As some may have guessed, Argerich was not enthralled by the awful cover
shot on the recent Prokofiev/Bartok set ...  The record company was given
some shots (that did not include this one) but insisted on the full rolls
and selected the shot without notice to this artist who certainly ought to
carry some clout but apparently didn't in this case.  Anyone who's ever
seen her in person knows she doesn't look like that.  So, in response to
what's said below, no, the artist is not always told what will be used.
