I've never thought about it, so it must not bother me.  Thinking about it
now, I believe that this mix is most prevalent with reissues.  How about
different conductors/performers/orchestras on the same cd? There are all
kinds of combinations that could be tried.  Perhaps one day we will see a
cd of a Beethoven symphony coupled with a few duets from Janet Jackson and
her brother; designate the disc in the classical category and watch annual
sales of classical cds skyrocket.  You never know what an industrious
marketing specialist might come up with.  Peter Gelb could at this very
moment be thinking of a recording ploy that would curl your hair.
