Well, since you brought it up, I too was not aware of such instances.
I do know that "anonymous" recordings were made and sold to record labels.
The labels would, in turn, make up names and sell the product.  I assume
Virginia was referring to recordings which were appropriated by some
labels and the performing organizations given different names?
