I'll assume there are no legal issues involved with this responsibility.

There are always individuals and/or groupings who try to throw
responsibilites at other individuals or groupings.  Only the timid follower
accepts a responsibility not believed in.  So, Adorno tells the above to
another artist.  That artist refuses to accept this responsibility, and the
responsibility evaporates as it should.

Further, if I was a tyrant or dictator, I could use every piece of art to
advance my malicious intent, no matter how thoughtfully the artist tried
to place his/her works in a "you couldn't use this" category.  Be it mind
control or propaganda, "everything" can be used in insidious ways.
