Naxos did raise their wholesale price a bit about a year ago. Many
retailers raised their prices to $6.99 from $5.99, although at Tower
Dallas, we elected to keep them at 5.99 by putting them on permanent "sale"
status. Tower managers have the option to do such things, some other
stores do not allow for it. Still, $6.99 is a bargain, and face it, costs
go up. A dollar hike isn't too much to handle, and I am sure that you will
never see Naxos go much higher. This is their first increase in wholesale
price in ten years of existence. I am sure that as their business grows so
do their costs.
