I too join the ranks of those who do not appreciate Tan Dun's music. 
It might very well be due to my lack of familiarity with his kind of art
all I can tell is that I went to New York and attended Dun's "the First
Emperor" starring none other than Placido Domingo at the Met and all I
remenber is a long and rather boring (and expensive) night at the opera.
