On Tuesday December 11 at 7:30 pm Washington Musica Viva will perform at
the Dennis & Phillip Ratner Museum, 10001 Old Georgetown Road (at Lone Oak
Drive) in Bethesda MD.

Sasha Margolis, violin, Mahoko Eguchi, viola, Janet Frank, cello, and Carl
Banner, piano will perform two great quartets: the compelling and noble
Mendelssohn 3rd in B minor; and the deeply felt, most autobiographical
Brahms quartet in C minor Op. 60. (This work contains one of the most
beautiful cello solos in the entire chamber music literature).

Janet Frank will perform Bloch's expressive 3rd Suite for solo cello.
And New York mezzo-soprano Karyn Friedman will join the ensemble to
perform Washington area composer Lori Laitman's lovely "Daughters" for
mezzo, violin, cello, and piano. (Ms. Laitman, a Montgomery County
resident, will be present to introduce her work).

Tickets are $15 in advance (your check must arrive by December 10) or $18
at the door. Send checks to Washington Musica Viva, 9925 Dickens Ave,
Bethesda MD 20814. Doors open at 7:00 pm.
