I assume you mean a pop or rock performer, Karl.  That wouldn't work, I
don't think, because of the different nature of the fame (or the publicity).
I would not recongize Bell if I saw him in the street, but few of us can
avoid knowing what the pop stars look like because the papers and magazines
are full of them.  So a pop star playing in a subway would either be
famous enough to cause a mob scene, or a competent and not very famous
busker, of whom there are probably already hundreds.
