Janos writes that Bruno Weil revived Braunfels' opera "Das Vogel."

"Vogel" (bird) is masculine in German; one bird would be Der Vogel.  More
than one bird (the birds) would be Die Vogel, with an umlaut over the "o".
which is the correct title of the opera (based on Aristophanes' play of the
same name).

One should be careful not to mix up the genders.  Clue: "vogeln" with an
umlaut over the "o" means "to f..k"
