The only recording of this symphony I recall where a harpsichord is played
throughout was with Eugen Jochum and (maybe) the Berliners.  It was a DG LP
coupled with a good #88.

Of course, I would suspect that the "authentic" keyboard instrument for
a public concert in London in the 1790s would be a fortepiano, not a
harpsichord.  There are a handful of London symphonies that Hogwood did
in the 80s with the Academy which do have one playing discreetly in the
background, but #98 wasn't one of them.
