Dear Colleagues: The Helios Ensemble, Dallas' critically acclaimed chamber
choir, has the following openings for singers:

Permanent positions: 2 basses

Substitute position (from January to May 2001): 1 alto

Substitute position (from January to February 17, 2001): 1 bass

Competitive pay for part time engagement, weekly rehearsal on Thrusday
evenings, challenging repertoire, frequent additional engagements through
association with the choir.

Interested parties should prepare the following:

Two arias or art songs, one in English and one in German.
Your respective line from the fugue (Wir aber seit nicht fleischlich,
sondern geistlich) from J. S. Bach's "Jesu meine Freude."

You will also be asked to sight read passages from two to three choral
works.

There are no age limits, but those with numerous potential schedule
conflicts need not apply.

Contact Kevin Sutton, artistic director, to schedule an audition at this
email address or at 214.696.5614.

Thank you,

Kevin Sutton
