Evelyn Lear and Thomas Stewart Young Artists Concert

The Society inaugurates the Evelyn Lear and Thomas Stewart Young Artists
Concert Series featuring two local singers who are young in their operatic
careers.  The series is named to honor the two distinguished singers who
now reside in the area.  Mezzo- soprano Laura Zuiderveen, and who is to
make a New York debut at Lincoln Center on April 15 will sing arias from
the Ring and from the Wesendonck Leider.  Soprano Connie Coffelt who was a
semi-finalist singing Wagner for the Birgit Nilsson Prize will sing arias
from Die Walkure, Der Fliegende Hollander, and Tannhauser.
