Rainier Symphony Classical III Concerts - April 9 and 10 Programs
Feature Violin Soloist Quinton Morris

The Rainier Symphony under the baton of guest conductor Maxim Eshkenazy,
will present their Classical III concerts featuring violin soloist Quinton
Morris on Saturday, April 9th at 7:30 PM at the IKEA Performing Arts
Center at Renton High School, 400 South 2nd Street in Renton, Washington
and Sunday, April 10th at 3:00 PM in Foster Performing Arts Center at
Foster High School, 4242 South 144th Street in Tukwila, Washington.

These concerts, which continue the Symphony's 24th season, will include
performances of Mendelssohn's "Overture in C", Dvorak's "Serenade for
Strings", and Beethoven's Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, Op. 61.

Featured violin soloist is Renton native Quinton Morris.  A graduate
of North Carolina School of the Arts, and the Boston Conservatory,
Mr. Morris is currently a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate at the
University of Texas at Austin.  He has performed throughout the U.S.,
Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and is the recipient of numerous
competition awards,, including the Seattle Philharmonic Concerto
Competition.  He is also founder and director of The Young Eight,
(http://www.theyoungeight.com/) an octet of African American string
players, which will be performing on June 25 at Seattle's Benaroya Hall.

Guest Conductor Maxim Eshkenazy, began studying at age 5 under his
father, a violinist with the Sofia Philharmonic.  An undergraduate degree
from the Sofia Conservatory led to a double Masters of Music in Violin
Performance and Conducting at the University of Southern California.
His career has included appointments with Bakersfield Youth Orchestra,
American Youth Symphony, and guest conducting at Sliven State Orchestra
(Bulgaria) and the Sofia Philharmonic.  He has been noted as a conductor
of "vigor and intelligence", conducting with "complete assuredness and
