Does anyone know where to find a reasonably detailed description of the
discs available on Dante Records? They appear to have a Schnabel set that
contains his complete EMI recordings of the Beethoven piano sonatas and
concertos, along with most or all of the miscellaneous Beethoven piano
works. I've been looking where to find a more detailed description, but I
can't find a darned thing. I can find CDs from Dante on sites like Tower,
but can't find this Beethoven set. Maybe its deleted. Anybody know where to
buy it?

If anyone has any ideas, this is what I am aiming at: I have the Schnabel
Beethoven EMI recordings (sonatas, concertos, misc works) on LP, and I
want to get the same stuff on CD. EMI appears to have only the sonatas
available, not the miscellaneous piano works; and I don't think they have
currently available the piano concertos. I think I can piece together
everything I want with discs from various labels, but the idea of
everything coming in a single box (the Dante set) was pretty attractive,
and the Dante box is supposed to be a budget price (although I don't have
the exact price).

The Dante box is reviewed on www.classicstoday.com

Finally, does anyone have any views on the quality of recordings of
the various currently available versions of the Schnabel EMI Beethoven
recordings. The competitors appear to be EMI, Dante, HPC, and Pearl.

Thanks very much for any information.
