David Cheng laments the fact that most public radio stations are devoting
more and more of the on-air time to the news and information formats.  My
suggestion would be to attempt what some very creative listeners in San
Antonio Texas did by creating two separate stations, one for the news and
one solely for music.  Yes, they must get on verbal bended knee twice a
year to secure the operating funds, but the community has embraced the
concept and supports both venues.
