Thanks to everyone for the input.  I finally decided and purchased a
Beyer-Dynamic DT 880.  I was tempted by the Sennheiser 600 but chose the
B-D because my old pair was a B-D. The difference in sound is amazing.
Listening to Schubert's "Trout" I can spacially locate the instruments
and hear the strings "buzz".  It is a very involving experience.  I am
appreciating music anew!
