I heard or read that sales of the recordings in the series were tapering
off; in today's climate, that automatically means "delete". The series
will likely come back in a few years when a new round of buyers is upon
us, although I'm not sure where these new folks will come from.

Each set I bought has been very rewarding, but the Tureck Goldberg
Variations has been my top acquisiton. She has another set with the
Partitas for Harpsichord, but I don't think that one scales the heights
like her Goldbergs. There were a few reviewers who were not enamored by
Tureck's Philips Goldbergs; those same folks thought even less of her newer
issue on DG. I think these people have chronic ear infections.
