As I mentioned recently, I bought a Koch CD containing Schreker's Chamber
Symphony by accident. It also contains some very atmospheric short
orchestral works. I also have a Marco Polo CD of overtures and preludes.
On the basis of these two, I'm very much with John.
I'm just getting into Zemlinsky via the Lyric Symphony. I heard the
Symphony #1 the other day and liked that too. Oh well, it's only money.
