Daniel Paul Horn wrote enthusiastically about the live Handel Alcina
production directed by John Nelson.  Andrys Basten also was enthusiastic
about Nelson's conducting a Berlioz Requiem in the 1970's.

Initially, I knew that I had some recording conducted by John Nelson, but
I couldn't remember the composer or work.  Reading the posting by Andrys
lit up my bulb; it's the opera Beatrice et Benedict by Berlioz on Erato
which was released a few years ago.  The performance is very good.  Are
there any other recordings by Nelson on the market?
