I am very thankful that the Szell set was reissued.  That is what I would
recommend as well, but the Dohnanyi cycle with the same orchestra is a very
close second my book and that cycle was reissued in a London two-for-one
package.  The weak link in the Dohnanyi cyle is the "Rhenish" but his
version of the overlooked second is fabulous.  I have both the Szell
and Dohnanyi in my collection and am quite happy with both.
