I couldnt agree more here.  Funnily enough as I write this what has come up
on BBC Radio 3 being listened to by me on the Web, Choral preludes By Bach
right on Cue.  I do not find Bach's organ works austere.  probably because
I have grown up with them since I was 12 or 13.  I agree with Don that the
more you listen to them the the austerity is less.  However organ Music is
not every one's cup of tea.
