One detail that pertains to Beethoven's life is the state of the economy
in Vienna. Econometrics has advanced a great deal over the last generation,
and the picture it paints of Beethoven's Vienna - racked by inflation -
gives a greater insight to the tremendous stress that supporting himself
as a composer created.
