I don't think anyone could give you the reason that you should admire
Glenn Gould, it depends on what style you like, I think some of the
preludes and fuges are quite nice.  If you don't like his humming,
just forget it, I don't like, too.  Just pay attention on the style
and articulation and the clear phrasing.
