Georg Philipp Telemann had a prolific output of music and I was recently
reviewing my assortment of about a dozen CDs (only!) in the hopes of
expanding my collection, but noticed that except for the 'type' of work
and the 'key' notation that a specific numbering sysem for his works was
not listed for the pieces on any on my CDs (e.g. like the K. & D. numbers
for Mozart & Schubert, respectively).  Also, instruments, esp. of the wind
variety, seemed to be interchanged in some of the works I own - is there
any way to determine which of his works are the same ones with different
names to avoid duplication? Would appreciate any comments or suggestions -
