Julian Bream, a favorite performer, nevertheless has been marketed by some
incredibly ugly covers.  I remember in particular one cover during the 70s
featuring Bream in a risible 70s outfit, with a Carnaby Street cap almost,
but not quite, covering a recent set of hair plugs.
