I am planning series of radio programmes on "the pastoral" as a musical
form and/or sensibility; how itchanges over time; how it compares with
the way it is expressed, realized in literature, visual arts etc.  Any
suggestions as to what I should play, read, any sources on the definition
of or discussions about the pastoral are most welcome.
