Brian Wilbur Grundstrom's Celebration!  for Chamber Orchestra To Be
Presented By Pennsylvania's Festival Chamber Orchestra On July 21 -
Performance at Memorial Auditorium in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania

Brian Wilbur Grundstrom's Celebration!  for Chamber Orchestra will be
performed by conductor Norm Nunnamacher and the Festival Chamber Orchestra,
Dr.  Blain Shover, Artistic Director on Thursday, July 21, 2005 - 8:00
PM at Memorial Auditorium on the campus of Shippensburg University, 1871
Old Main Drive in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.  Also on the program is
the Brahms First Symphony and the Dvorak Cello Concerto with Chris Rex,
principal cellist with the Atlanta Symphony.

Celebration!  deals with the joy and celebration of life that we need
to express after coming to terms with the darker side.  A work of great
excitement and vigor, with interesting and unexpected turns, Celebration!
was given its World Premiere performance on February 27, 2003 by SONOS
Chamber Orchestra in New York City with Erik E.  Ochsner, Music Director
and was recently performed on January 16, 2005 by Trinity Chamber Orchestra
in Washington, DC with Richard Fazio, Music Director and Conductor.

Brian Wilbur Grundstrom obtained a BA in music from Gettysburg College
and an MBA in Arts Administration from SUNY Binghamton.  He studied piano
performance with Michael Matsinko, Serge Petitgirard, and Walter Ponce,
and composition with Dexter Weikel and Fred Speck.  He has twice been
a finalist in the Composer's Guild Composition Competition, and was
awarded an American Composers Forum's Performance incentive fund with
Pianist Craig Randal Johnson.  Mr.  Grundstrom has served on the Council
for the New York Chapter of the American Composers Forum since 1996.
Previously a Programmer in Information Technologies for the Brooklyn
Academy of Music, Brian recently moved to DC and is now a Database
Administrator for the Washington National Opera.  He continues composition
studies with John David Earnest.  Brian sang with the New York City Gay
