"Great" is thrown around a bit too freely.  The list of interesting
composers should include Judith Lang Zaimont (often appearing on this
list) and Gloria Coates, enigmatic and not easily approachable (by me
anyway), but surely worth the effort.  She is represented by two Naxos
cds of her quartets.
