>Hi Dear List members: I would like to know just a little more about
>Mussorgsky's "Pictures" I mean how many orchestrations are? Just two?

As Steve Schwartz has already pointed out, there are many different
orchestrations of "Pictures".

And now for something completely different: On EMI Debut [7243 5 69705 2
6] James Crabb & Geir Draugsvoll play their own arrangement of "Pictures"
for classical accordion duo. The couplings are "Petrushka" (1947) &
"Tango" by Stravinsky.

I have, moreover, heard of at least one case of such music being played
on a grand organ, but what I at least am really looking forward to is a
version for The Regimental Band, Pipes & Drums of The Royal Scots Dragoon
Guards (Carabiniers & Greys) or the equivalent thereof.
