Roundtrip tickets are not really more expensive than going one-way, but if
you were travel agent to the Met's artistic director, what would you do?

1. On Sept. 16, Flicka Herself will speak of Art & Life in Herbst
Theater, interviewed on stage by Sarah Billinghurst, of the Met, once and
future (?) SFO official.

2. Between now and September SFO is expected to annunce the replacement
for Lotfi Mansouri.

3. If Billinghurst is here already, would it then be cost effective to
fly back to New York?

Now let's look at the travel situation in Europe:

1. Hamburg Staatsoper Intendant Albin Haenseroth is taking the train to
the Philharmonie Koeln.

2. From the PK in Cologne, Franz-Xaver Ohnesorg is flying to NY and
Carnegie Hall.

3. Also from Cologne, the Opera, Karen Stone is on her way to Graz, likely
to become the Intendantin thereof.

4. And what do we have in Stuttgart? (Pay attention!) Pamela Rosenberg,
co-director of the Opera there, spending many marks on roundtrip tickets
(so far) both to San Francisco and another fine city on this continent.

Stay tuned for exciting low fares.
