This depends on what you prefer: better Callas' voice (1954) or
interpretation (1960); great but older than Adalgisa should be Stignani
(1954) or very good and suitable Ludwig (1960), and so on...  Perhaps (if
live sound is not a problem) a good solution is 1955 La Scala recording
with Callas/Simionato/Del Monaco/Zaccaria under Votto (Arkadia HP 517.2,
1995).  No studio recording can compete with it.
