The use of RNAi on IAPV is essentially a proof of concept. If RNAi can be used to knock down a virus, even if only in plants and invertebrates, this is an important breakthrough. Much of the opposition to RNAi reminds me of anti-vaccine organizations. I submit these groups are on the wrong side of important health issues.
