Thanks everyone for the help. I'll be checking my last hive for varroa as
soon as these Pacific storms go away - whenever that will be!
 
Interesting note - I have a friend who poorly manages his bees - to the
point of almost negligence (they haven't had new comb in years, the boxes
are falling apart). He did treat for varroa - his hive is thriving in spite!
