previous trial in which I found that inoculating colonies with a filtered
homogenate of ground up bees apparently greatly suppressed colony buildup.

This is also an issue when feeding fondant which we place on the excluder.
We always take off the excluder and shake the bees off it, then replace and
quickly put on the fondant.
