I remember Jerry Hayes, former State Apiarist for FL saying that the
seaports were the big sources, and that bait hives were maintained around
each port in an attempt to catch swarms of AHB.
Tampa seemed to have more incidents than the other ports, as it was the
bigger freight port.

But talk to Jerry, he certainly can tell the tale better than I can.
