It is possible that our AFB levels are a little lower here in North
Alabama-usually run 1- 4% for the state and these are the numbers I have
have observed also for my operation, though I dont treat proph. as most do
but only when I find it as it tends to spread to adjacent hives. My best
guess is that we are a little lower this year but wouldnt promise that. We
have had a knockout year in N alabama and I have found that many times after
the end of a good flow is when I find AFB. My main problem this year has
been recycling supers fast enough. I am grateful for an amazing year.
