Here's a question I've always wondered about.

How many hives will an oak and poplar forest support?  The forest
extends well over 3 miles in all directions from the apiary.  The
forest is at least 25% poplar.  The remainder mostly maple and oak.
The flow is, of course, predominately from the poplar.
