In short,, 12V 50W peanut bulb, run on 5 or 6V,, 12.5 or 16W enclose in Al envelope of offset metal or 1/2" Cu tube
$20 thermostat from ebay or amazon,
powered by old PS, previous version, with switch on 1' cord dip pins (on bulb)in flux repeatedly to solder/tin


Put near the cluster?  Under or above???


I am pondering I have  6-8 small hives with no stores at all (not worth saveing genetically)  that I was ponder trying to overwinter with keeping them warm enough to actively feed  from a division board.......
