In the interest of completely refuting the claims
of Joe Cummins about CCD, allow me to debunk two
claims at once with one fairly authoritative quote:

Here are the two quotes from Cummins:

> "Now most apiarists and scientists realize that
> pesticides are a factor in CCD".

> "Organic agriculture must be widely adopted to
> save the honeybee".

Here's a quote from the journal "Science",
an article titled "The Case Of The Empty Hives"
published May 18th, 2007.

"Pesticides can't be an explanation for why
organic beekeepers are losing their colonies"
- Dr. May Berenbaum

Here's the article online (watch that linewrap!):

Also, note that I am copying Joe Cummins on this message in hopes
that he will explain his unsupported claims to this group in light
of their being well-known to be false statements by even the general
lay public for over a year. Via this group, he can explain his
position to the legitimate scientific community that is doing the
actual work on CCD.

If he has any data to back up his claims, I'd sure like to see it,
but I expect he has no data at all, as no one who is anyone has
ever even heard of this person, let alone sent him samples or
traded any data with him.
